Bio of Thom Parker, WindJack Solutions' CEO
Thom has a broad engineering and software development background that spans over 20 years. He earned a BS in Electrical Engineering from Southern Illinois University and an MS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.Thom worked as a chip designer and software engineer for nine years at Intel Corporation before founding WindJack Solutions in 1997. After accepting a consulting project involving Acrobat and the PDF file format in 2003, Thom changed the direction and focus of the company to all PDF related projects and solutions. He quickly developed a reputation as a leading expert in the PDF Specification and Acrobat JavaScript. Thom developed three popular commercial plug-ins for Acrobat (PDF CanOpener, AcroButtons, AcroDialogs), and his in-depth knowledge of the subject resulted in him being the most prolific presenter and trainer in Acrobat JavaScript over the last few years. Thom was honored in 2006 when he was invited to be the host of JavaScript Corner at the Adobe Acrobat User Community web site. At JavaScript Corner he has authored more than 50 articles and answered thousands of questions from Acrobat users on just about every aspect of scripting for Acrobat and PDF.
